The purpose built facility is equipped with 4 computers offering Internet access and a range of Microsoft Office packages. We offer a drop-in service where, for a modest charge, anyone can use the equipment; informal tuition and advice is available if needed. Services and facilities include; black & white and colour printers, photocopier, scanner, laminator, document shredder and office services. The Institute houses the Community Library. After Lancashire County Council closed the Caton library in 2007, Caton Community Library Trust was established to provide a service for the people of Caton-with-Littledale Parish and the wider Lune Valley. The Victoria Institute took on the running of the Library in 2016 when the Caton Community Library Trust was dissolved. Everyone is welcome to browse and to borrow the books, all of which have been donated and include a good range of favourites and latest bestsellers. We also have a small range of jigsaws, that can be borrowed. The Community Library and IT Resource room is open during the Institute’s normal office hours which are Monday to Friday between 9:30am and 3:00pm. The Library is maintained by Volunteers.
